Approximately one year ago, because of unrelenting pain in my left shoulder, I underwent a total shoulder replacement, an extremely complex surgical procedure that involves replacing the entire left shoulder joint with artificial parts.

Having the benefit of 12 months to reflect on what transpired during and after the surgery, the following proverbial sayings come to mind: “you tried all the rest – now try the best”, “Have Gun Will Travel”, “the dynamic duo”, “actions speak louder than words” and “he spoke not a word, but went straight to his work”. I selected Dr. Hunt because of his stellar O.R. surgical reputation, a true professional highly regarded by those in the know. His PA Gary Racich amply rounds out the surgical team by providing essential ancillary pre-op and post-op guidance. I would be remiss if I did not mention the attending anesthesiologist Jing Cui, MD (not directly affiliated with Tri County Ortho) who was my proxy Guardian Angel throughout the procedure. Thank you Jing.

The procedure itself went like clockwork and remarkably, from post-op recovery thru discharge and physical therapy, until now, I have been completely pain free and the ROM in the arm is back at 100%. As if that is not enough, the post-op suturing was so masterfully performed that the incised area is barely noticeable. Having that procedure done and selecting Dr. Hunt as my surgeon were godsend decisions. He is in a league of his own; no one holds a candle to his surgical prowess.
