Shoulder Bursitis
If you’re experiencing achy stiffness in your shoulder with pain that increases with movement, you may be suffering from shoulder bursitis. Shoulder bursitis is caused by repetitive motions or positions that irritate the bursae around your shoulder joint. Throwing a baseball or lifting something over your head repeatedly can lead to shoulder bursitis.
Characterized by excessive swelling, redness, and bruising around the shoulder joint lasting more than one week, shoulder bursitis may also cause sharp or shooting pain while you’re exercising or exerting yourself.
