Wrist Tendonitis
If you’re experiencing pain and swelling in your wrist, you may be suffering from wrist tendonitis. Wrist tendonitis (medically referred to as tendinitis) is a common condition characterized by inflammation and irritation of the tendons surrounding your wrist joint, often caused by trauma or repetitive use.
Many tendons surround your wrist joint, and wrist tendonitis usually occurs in areas where the tendons cross each other or pass over a bone. By constricting the smooth gliding motion of the tendons, wrist tendonitis makes movements of the tendon painful and difficult.
Common recommended nonsurgical treatment methods include bracing, icing, medications, or cortisone injections.
