Sports Medicine

Our specialty-trained, board-certified sports medicine physicians and surgeons at our Sports Medicine Center of Excellence at Tri-County Orthopedics are recognized and respected experts in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of sports-related injuries and conditions.

The practice of medicine surrounding sports, or sports-related conditions and injuries, is referred to as sports medicine. Medical doctors may undergo additional training, such as a fellowship, to receive advanced education, training, and experience in working with patients with sports injuries and conditions. A sports medicine physician may be nonsurgical, such as a primary care sports medicine physician, or an orthopedic surgeon with fellowship training in sports medicine. Sports medicine specialists work closely with athletes, coaches, athletic trainers, physical therapists, and others to provide both conservative treatments or minimally invasive surgeries if necessary.

If you're suffering from a sports-related injury or condition, it may be time to visit a physician or surgeon who specializes in sports medicine at Tri-County Orthopedics.

At Tri-County Orthopedics, we are committed to staying informed about the best practices for sports medicine care. In our sports lecture series, our specialty-trained orthopedic experts discuss sports injuries, treatments, and preventative methods.
